Overview: Seeking an SBA to join one of Australia's top 4 banks on a data project

The role:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Work with business users to elicit and define requirements, and translate them into functional or data requirements, and contribute to the management of client expectations
  • Analysis and specification of requirements that are uniquely traceable, verifiable and prioritised in a manner that is acceptable to both business and technology stakeholders
  • Effective use of data and process modelling tools (including, but not limited to, process mapping, business, object and dataflow modelling) to analyse and represent information in an effective form, to translate business requirements into meaningful statements of work
  • Conduct data analysis, documentation & requirements gathering workshops with key stakeholders
  • Validate business data objects for accuracy and completeness
  • Work with DBAs to ensure that target data sets are aligned to target processes
  • Provide input to establishing, managing and reporting project management activities to ensure management awareness of activities, issues and outcomes
  • Act as an interface between Business and technology to ensure that needs are met
  • Prepare and/or oversee the preparation of structured user acceptance testing processes and documentation, to ensure the delivery of business requirements
  • Assist with coordination of User Acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Ensure that all relevant Business Analysis documentation is up to date
  • Ensure JIRA, Confluence is managed and up to date as per company guidelines
  • Liaise with Business Unit Managers to offer advice and direction regarding requirements, and resolution of issues and conflicts.
  • Lead the support of the implementation of new systems through training and documentation and ensure that business processes are not adversely impacted by the implementation of a software system

  • Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Identify process improvement opportunities based on data analysis
  • Optimise and rationalise data models in order to promote data re-use

Identify and champion data remediation activities required to support target state processes
