A highly reputable IT & business consulting organisation is seeking a Senior Analyst Programming Services working with Weblogic Configuration and Administration. The role is for a tender commencing March 2020 close to the Perth CBD. It is an initial 1-year contract that may extend up to 3 years.

The role:

The Oracle Weblogic and Application Support Engineer will maintain the current Weblogic platform on Windows and install, configure and manage new versions of Weblogic, Fusion Middleware ADF libraries and Oracle BI Publisher.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure and maintain Oracle BI Publisher and Oracle Forms and Reports servers on the Weblogic platform
  • Security hardening of Weblogic servers
  • Liaise with ICT technical teams to ensure policies and procedures are interpreted and implemented
  • Provide technical advice to application development teams
  • Develop application components as directed
  • Tuning and monitoring applications and server settings including database connectivity
  • Document processes and knowledge transfer to the Customer's Server Teams
  • Quarterly security patching to apply updates and fixes to database and application servers
  • Upgrade Weblogic platform as required

Skills / Experience:

  • Oracle Enterprise Database
  • Weblogic server - configuration and administration, security hardening
  • Weblogic Java Virtual Machine (JVM) - performance tuning
  • Oracle Forms/Reports - installation and configuration
  • Microsoft Active Directory - connect and configure
  • JMeter - performance load testing
  • Oracle BI Publisher - installation and configuration
  • Java Enterprise Edit (JEE) and Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF)
  • JDeveloper Integrated Development Environment (IDE)
  • ITIL framework experience for change management processes
