About the role

Our client is a leading postal service organization. They are looking for a Security Project Manager with experience in Federal Government Information Security Manual (ISM).

This is a 6-month contract role.

You would be involved in:

  • Strong understanding of Australian Government Information Security Manual and Protective Security Policy Framework
  • Strong understanding of Information Security compliance and governance approaches
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based technologies and how to apply security compliance requirements from a technology perspective to a cloud solution
  • Ability to present complex technical and operational information into simple, business language
  • Balanced and pragmatic understanding of best practices to meet information security compliance outcomes
  • Understanding of risk management and the ability to undertake risk assessments and subsequent recommendations to reduce the risk to an acceptable level
  • Current and pragmatic technical knowledge of information security related emerging threats and themes

To be successful for the role, you would ideally have:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects for a technology solution
  • iRAP certification or similar security certification
  • Demonstrated experience in managing the creation and delivery of the required documentation and associated artefacts to meet iRAP certification.
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in a team
  • Experience working with methodologies like Agile and waterfall
  • Demonstrated experience in mentoring others to enable team members to understand the ISM security controls, and how it impacts the solution being implemented.
