About the role

The Security Governance Coordinator is responsible for planning and managing Emergency Management requirements of property portfolio. The position will coordinate and assume responsibility to undertake detailed or sensitive projects that may include performing varied activities involving many different and unrelated processes or methods that may impact on the strategic or operational outcomes that support the clients objectives to "build a world-leading Insurance Scheme.


Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and documenting Emergency Management preparedness requirements according to the Australian Standard (AS 3745-2010 Planning for Emergencies in Facilities)
  • Consolidating a list of preparedness requirements for each site, including but not limited to:
    • Emergency Warden Training
    • Emergency Signage
    • Conduct of Emergency Evacuation Rehearsals.
  • Ensuring effective services and reporting requirements are maintained by the Emergency Management provider and Property Services provider.
  • Developing and managing a monitoring and corrective action compliance system for all elements of Emergency Management Preparedness, including services provided by external parties.
  • Developing and managing administrative processes to ensure appropriate service delivery and reporting is maintained by the Emergency Management provider and Property Services provider. * Developing, implementing, and managing a compliance and corrective action system to ensure all standards are met at all NDIS sites (including co-located sites) according to the Australian Standard (AS 3745-2010 Planning for Emergencies in Facilities).
  • Assisting with logistical and administrative requirements during emergency situations, in support of the Agency's Emergency Response and Recovery Committee.


Skills and experience

  • Demonstrated understanding and ablity to document Emergency Management preparedness requirements according to the Australian Standard (AS 3745-2010 Planning for Emergencies in Facilities)
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and managing a compliance and corrective action system to ensure all standards are met according to the Australian Standard (AS 3745-2010 Planning for Emergencies in Facilities).
  • Proven experience, of greater than 5 years, in establishing and managing the delivery of projects with recent experience developing and managing projects involving extensive and essential stakeholder and partner engagement.
  • Well-developed communication, influence and negotiation skills.
