Our Federal Government client is seeking an IT Midrange Application Developer. This is an initial 12 Months contract with a potential 12 months extension option Canberra based role.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Australian Citizenship and have an ability to obtain baseline clearance
- Scala with a focus on the functional programming paradigm
- AWS Glue
- Scalatest
- Apache Spark 2.x
- Apache Spark RDD
- Apache Spark SQL DataFrame
- Apache Spark Streaming API
- Spark query tuning and performance optimisation
- Database integration MongoDB
- Experience working with HDFS, S3
- Deep understanding of distributed systems (e.g. CAP theorem, partitioning, replication, consistency, and consensus)
- Agile mindset and experience in working with agile methodologies
