Our Government client is currently seeking an SQL Database Developer.

As a SQL Database Developer, you will:

  • Liaise closely with Project teams in design of databases for new and existing applications in both SQL Server 2012 and 2016
  • Develop databases with MS SQL Server 2012 and 2016
  • Code Stored Procedures, Triggers and other scripts using T-SQL
  • Develop and maintain SSIS packages
  • Database administration of SQL Servers including Backup/Recovery, Security and infrastructure requirements
  • Provide ongoing support to Project teams and Production applications and users, including being available after hours on occasion
  • Plan and co-ordinate Database Releases, including liaising with the Release and Production DBA Teams
  • Undertake performance tuning tasks including query performance tuning and index analysis
  • Contributing to the automation of database deployments in all environments

The successful candidate must have:

  • Experience in Microsoft SQL Server 2012
  • Demonstrated experience in design and maintenance of large databases, partitions and indexes using SQL Server
  • Demonstrated experience writing stored procedures as well as experience with Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL
  • Demonstrated experience supporting large databases in a production environment
  • Demonstrated experience planning and managing database releases
  • Demonstrated experience documenting database design and maintaining data dictionary
