We require an experienced SAP HANA Administrator to monitor and maintain both legacy and future state HANA systems as this large organisation slowly transitions from one platform onto the other. Within this initial 6 month role, the SAP Hana Administrator will be responsible for monitoring all environments ensuring the data within the platforms is up to date and system remains available to multiple business groups for reporting and analytical purposes.

Within this role you will be involved in:

  • Monitoring access to the systems and rectifying access issues as necessary
  • Working with an external vendor regarding the maintenance and upkeep of the physical hardware
  • Actively rectifying issues in the ingestion of data into the platforms
  • Manage and escalate system enhancements and resolve system issues to agree specifications
  • Meet project deadlines by using appropriate project management techniques
  • Provide business and data analysis support to customers within the business
  • Collaborates effectively managing information and confidentiality requirements across the organisation in accordance with applicable ring-fencing parameters.

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Demonstrated experience in HANA 1.0 and HANA 2.0 using both SAP Web IDE and SAP Studio
  • Understanding of HANA data provisioning using Smart Data Integration (SDI) and experience in using SAP Data Services
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in estimating the end to end effort required to rectify any issues as they arise
  • Experience working in an agile project environment
  • Demonstrated expertise in advanced problem solving, relational databases, analytical skills and ability to develop queries and use querying tools and techniques to interrogate data
  • Knowledge and demonstrated application of information management principles
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills resulting in the attainment of practical solutions that meets business requirements
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure with a focus on outcomes and deliverables and the ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability in establishing effective relationships with internal stakeholders by working collaboratively across a diverse stakeholder network, negotiating, and influencing others to achieve quality outcomes for the customer community and business which meet current and future needs.
