Our Client:
Our client is an established Australian telecommunications company that was founded over 40 years ago. They strive for a safe, collaborative and positive working environment. They are currently recruiting for a Senior DevOps Engineer with a passion for automation and optimization.
Work collaboratively with delivery teams developing software to build and operate our cloud-based platforms.
The DevOps engineer will build and maintain software that
- Enables iterative and incremental delivery of new product features; delivering value to our customers
- Enforces security polices and architecture best practices
- Enables delivery team members to be self sufficient
The role requires a passion for automation, optimization as well as being comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Experience and Skills:
- 2 - 5 years industry experience building online applications
- Background in Software or Systems Engineering in the Telco or Online domain
- Experience with software defined infrastructure orchestration tools
- Experience with immutable architectures and containerization technologies
- In depth experience with Amazon Web Services (VPC, EC2, Route53, S3, CloudFormation, APIs and SDKs)
- Proficient use of distributed version control systems
- Linux/Unix system administration experience
- SaltStack or Terraform
- Docker, LXC, OpenVZ or Xen
- Puppet, Chef or Ansible
- C, C++, Perl, Python, JavaScript, Bash, Ruby
- Jenkins or Bamboo
- GIT or similar
- AWS Architecture or Operations Certification
