About the Role
Rail Program Manager with a passenger rail industry and rail operations, rolling stock fleet and fleet facilities background to deliver a variety of projects. You will manage projects and deliver outcomes for stakeholders and sponsors in terms of safety, scope, quality, standards, budget, timeframes and customer expectations
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and direct the development of requirements, proposals and approvals
- Manage rolling stock project related contract management
- Manage, direct and control the fleet refurbishment and upgrading programs
- Deliver the development, design, construction, testing, commissioning and introduction to service, in terms of the agreed and approved safety, scope, quality, standards, budget, timeframe, procurement, contract and operational outcomes
- implement a program to ensure maintenance processes and funding are in place
- Manage the integration across business units
- Manage the asset utilisation impact
- Manage Engineering Change processes
Your Proven Experience
- Proven success as a Rail Program Manager
- Experienced in the Rolling Stock Fleet area
- Demonstrated Program Management experience and understanding of methodologies
- Strong understanding of the Passenger Rail industry and Rail Operations, Rolling Stock Fleet and Fleet Facilities project development and delivery
- Proven high-level planning, strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Must have management skills with the ability to build a culture of accountability and performance
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, negotiation and interpersonal skills to engage, influence, build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and customers
- advanced knowledge of scheduling by personally developing, complex schedules utilising critical path and other techniques to drive delivery
- Appropriate degree and project management qualifications
