Our Client:
Our client has a dominant presence withing the Banking and Financial industry, they are currently seeking a Senior Quality Engineer and a Quality Engineer to join on a permanent basis.
Both the Quality Engineers will be part of a specialist team/community working across all disciplines to enable and transform Quality practises within one or more of the Banks Technology Service Teams.
About the role
The Quality Engineer will:
- Support improvement in software quality including automated testing coverage meeting operational and security controls (towards 100%)
- Assist quality improvements and requirements needs in feature / story acceptance criteria
- Automate manual testing, assist in the transition of testing done by third parties and integrate to Testing Framework
The Senior Quality Engineer will:
- Driving continuous improvement in software quality including automated testing coverage operational and security controls (towards 100%)
- Setting quality standards, guidelines and expectations of all code outputs delivered by the service team(s)(from any engineer)
- Ensuring quality improvements and requirements needs are included in feature / story acceptance criteria
- Monitoring code quality automation supporting CI/CD pipeline in real-time
- Managing transition from outsourced manual and/or assisted testing to automated/real-time/continuous hands-off testing
The successful applicant will:
Quality Engineer:
- Demonstrated experience as a Tester/Quality Engineer
- Experience in the use of Tools such as Selenium, Postman, Performance centre, Jmeter, Gradle, Jenkins, Github
- Must have Java or related experience
- Knowledge in API testing, Messaging and Eventing such MQ and Kafka
Senior Quality Engineer:
- Experience in sanctions screening and payments technologies is highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience in a senior/autonomous role as a Tester/Quality Engineer
- Experience in API testing
- Experience in the use of Tools such as Selenium, Postman, Performance centre, Jmeter, gradle, Jenkins, github.
- Must have Java experience and be familiar with Docker, MQ and Kafka
- Experience in all forms of testing including system, functional, regression, progress, integration, performance and post implementation testing
