About the role

The Quality Assurance Manager provides leadership, advice and testing expertise in the quality delivery of testing services to the Enterprise. The incumbent is expected to maintain strong testing capability both internally and via 3rd parties, contributing to the delivery of cost effective testing solutions. This role is accountable for creating standards and managing, monitoring and reporting on the quality of software developed to ensure that any product, process or service is compliant with business standards.

  • Guide portfolio and technical testing teams
  • Uplift current processes, striving towards a greater Agile and DevOps delivery model by supporting these methodologies
  • Provide support in the managing and tracking of financial budgets, license management and SLA adherence across the Quality Assurance portfolio
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of presentations to senior level stakeholders


Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and direction in driving high quality delivery in BAU, projects and enhancements.
  • Defines, embeds and educates on QA process, templates and procedures to support the levels of quality expected.
  • Accountable for implementing prioritised process improvement initiates that are align to business strategies, technology roadmaps and team capabilities
  • Responsible for leading the QA SME's to deliver continuous uplift and efficiencies across the testing services landscape, driving increased value in the service proposition
  • Accountable for project and/or testing governance including delivery, policy, effective risk and stakeholder management for complex enterprise solutions.
  • Accountable for the effective delivery and operation of Testing related tools, and driving usage to achieve standard outcomes and ROI, including:

-Definition of new processes, methodologies, deliverables and standards to meet changing demand conditions.

-Trialling of new software to assess their suitability and effectiveness in the organisation and help prepare any resulting business case.

-License management.

  • Drives and facilitate documentation of systems and processes, including functional and technical documentation to keep knowledge repositories current to mitigate risks of a transient contractor workforce.
  • Responsible for identifying changes and how to implement them, and provide training tools and techniques to enable other to achieve quality standards.
