About the Role
This organisation is looking for an experienced Public Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to be embedded within a small delivery team. You will play a key role in delivering a change in the organisations Public Cloud hosting capabilities to facilitate modernisation and simplification.

The scale of the work requires you to deliver elasticity and scalability in cloud-native infrastructure in alignment with defined architecture. You will have an opportunity to extend beyond delivery and into architecture

You will deliver strategic technology capabilities to create, optimise and support the infrastructure platforms and services that will fully enable the integration of the environment and support future business requirements

Responsibilities

  • Develop platform solutions to enable innovation
  • Define best-practice patterns and pre-defined architectural components and service catalogue items
  • Deliver self-service capabilities
  • Lead the implementation of full product solutions for successful experiments
  • Incorporate successful experiments into product architectures and patterns
  • Discover customer problems through customer interaction and feedback
  • Provide input into migrations from legacy environments and offerings to new environments
  • Support the development of Public Cloud services that automate service delivery and request fulfilment
  • Focus on service delivery and consumption automation

Experience

  • Strong Public Cloud Infrastructure Engineer experience
  • Extensive experience in Cloud Technologies and Deployments
  • Experience developing and maintaining infrastructure as code automation scripts
  • Developing and supporting systems deployed on AWS infrastructure
  • Ability to adapt and quickly learn and adopt new technologies as required
  • A good understanding of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS models
  • In depth knowledge of key AWS services - EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, VPC, ElastiCache, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, AWS Route 53, CloudFront, SNS, IAM, Service Catalog, Systems Manager
  • Experience with Azure services
  • Understanding of business process implications of critical systems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills.
