Our CBD based client is currently seeking a Program Manager to work across a critical project stream. This is a permanent opportunity for someone who has previous experience leading large programs of work in the IT space, and who has delivered successful outcomes.

Duties:

  • Design and plan ICT programs to achieve clearly understood business objectives
  • Provide leadership and drive in delivering programs and projects in the ICT portfolio to agreed scope, budget, timelines and quality parameters
  • Perform the key program and project disciplines to ensure successful delivery of programs and projects:
  • Governance & Reporting; Stakeholder Management; Resource & Performance Management; Planning; Scope Management; Supplier Management, Scope Management; Risk & Issue Management; Ongoing Learning & Assurance; Change Control; Cost Management; Benefits Management
  • Ensure that each program and project consistently and rigorously follows the project management methodology, compliance controls, standards and required levels of fiscal discipline, including forecasting, accruals and monthly variance reporting
  • Review project proposals or plans to determine scope, timeframe, funding limitations, target benefits, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements and allocation of internal and external resources to various phases of the program or project
  • Work with ICT Portfolio Management and ICT Sourcing & Supplier Management to engage external service providers for program and project delivery, as required, and manage day-to-day delivery from suppliers to contracted deliverables
  • Establish and run regular steering committees, conduct stakeholder analysis and establish effective stakeholder management plans to report the status of programs and projects pro-actively and on an ongoing basis to key stakeholders
  • Drive the management of cross-functional teams while maintaining overall control of schedules, risks and committed deliverables

Essential skills:

  • Demonstrated high competency in the execution of multiple large projects
  • Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership, with strong abilities in relationship management
  • Gained experience in managing resources to meet goals across multiple projects
  • Gained experience in leading multi-discipline, high-performance work teams / groups
  • Demonstrated competency in developing efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems
