The Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) is seeking multiple Product Managers with a track record of proven stakeholder management, exceptional product management and ownership. The product managers will work with internal and external stakeholders to identify compelling product offerings as well as taking ownership for one or several project streams.
The product manager leads the strategic direction and/or delivery of the service or product. Sometimes called a product owner, they may:
- Work with teams to communicate the vision for the service
- Work with other Product Managers, user researchers, service designers and delivery managers to make sure the services meet user needs
- Co-own and manage a product backlog
- Prioritise user stories
- Accept user stories when they're delivered
- Manage stakeholder engagement and foster good relationships across Government
- Ensure the right team culture develops
- Are available to answer questions from the team
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Ability to strategically design products based on the commitments of government
- Deep understanding of agile and SAFe product development including an understanding of research, use experience, software development and operations. You can rally and talk the language of experts in these disciplines
- Solid stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to translate detailed information into high level concepts to report to Senior Executive
- At least 3 years' experience in product management or relevant transferrable experienc
- Experience in whole of government programs that run across multiple government agencies
