Job Responsibilities

Drive the application of governance and compliance frameworks, which will meet clients' reporting requirements and manage systems and tools that facilitate portfolio delivery that support delivery activities.

Lead the application of the portfolio management methodology incorporating:

    • Governance
    • Assurance and Audit close out
    • Reporting
    • Scheduling
    • Coordination

Lead the monitoring and evaluation of all aspects of project implementation including risks and contingency management, benefits realisation, project impact and quality measures, to identify and address issues, and assess project progress and effectiveness.

Establish, develop and maintain positive consultative relationships with stakeholders, program and project sponsors, program directors, project managers and project teams to enable the PMO to provide expert advice, coaching and support in the facilitation, tracking and reporting on projects and in the early identification and remediation of risks and issues.

Drive responsibility through clear assignment of ownership of initiatives and provide constructive feedback and identify gaps and risks to relevant stakeholders.

Manage the tracking and reporting on project portfolio performance, providing a real time, comprehensive and prioritised view of all projects, monitor all areas of project expenditure, identify, and report on variances to ensure optimisation on returns from project investments and to increase project management maturity and capability.

Ensure a robust process of notification or escalation is in place to report on both underspend and potential overspend and to track and monitor benefits realisation against planned targets.

Investigate and continually improve practices of portfolio management in identifying opportunities for business improvements and in tracking the scheduling, budgeting and resourcing of projects and programs.
