Our client is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join their Cloud Services team. The team is responsible for delivering and implementing customer solutions as part of the project team.
The role:
- Implement and deliver solutions for customers and as instructued by Architect / Principal
- Build, change and decommission services as part of a customer order
- Provide frequent updates to the project manager to enable effective communications both internally and to customer
- Perform ad-hoc technical activities as required by Operations. Eg, Work with customet to decide how servers to be delivered and how they interact, how split, get IP addresses, how they want V LAN configured and what security is required
- Contact customer upon order arrival. Eg, Run kick off meeting, or with the assistance of a senior
- Gather requirements from customers, requalify solution, and then build
- Thus requires someone with a grest attitude that wis willing to perform a hands on role. Eg, configuraton and build
Experience and skills required:
- Network Engineer, Solution Enginer, System Integrator or Administators considered
- Suitable for someone looking to take the step up from a junior role, or someone with 6 - 7 years experience
- Must be strong in networking Cisco (routers and switches)
- Experienced in Vmware and Linux (Redhat) - highly desirable
- CCNA level, RHCE, Fortinet NSE, RedHat OpenShift EX280 - Desirable only or equivalent work experience
