Network Engineer
Melbourne
1. Job Purpose
The Network Engineer will be responsible for ensuring on-the-day activations are timely managed and resolved, delivered to high quality and driven to completion by use of a number of Service Activation Systems supporting the delivery of Customer Connections.
The position requires experience in service activations within a telecommunications /Large enterprise or technical arena. To be successful in this position you will have been a part of a Service Delivery environment with experience in areas including:

  • Service Design, Configuration and Activation Product Delivery including development of processes
  • The delivery of high volumes of customer services
  • Activation and testing of Ethernet services
  • Configuration of customers services on multi-vendor networks
  • Testing and troubleshooting of Activation faults
  • Use of Automated workflows in a Service Delivery environment
  • Use of related Support Systems (including Element Management and Geospatial Inventory Systems)
    2. Key Accountabilities
    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & SUPPORTING RESPONSIBILITIES EXPECTED
    Provide technical assistance to field technicians through call back function resolving on-the-day physical fall out, including manage, diagnosis, troubleshoot and resolving technical issues that impact the completion of connection orders
    Fall out resolved and orders progress to completion or remediation work order raised

    * Quality KPIs 30%
    Triage of work and customer orders to prevent incompletion (including liaising with Customer Connections teams and RSPs), by addressing, resolving and managing fallout events timely

    * Quality KPIs 18%
    Drive work and customer order to a terminal state with all systems aligned
    All orders progressed to a valid terminal state and customers advised within the required time constraints

    Configuration of customer services on a wholesale-only broadband network
