Our client is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join their telecommunications team. The team is responsible maintaining, building and expanding MPLS core networks for the company's private network clients.
The role:
- plan, implement, configure and oversee the networks that support clients
- Perform pre and post checks on MPLS data networks
- Assist in the delivery of key project work
- Workign primarily with Juniper equipment
- Assist with the build of new pop's
- Work with internal stakeholders such as pre-sales, architects, SDM's, PM's, provisioning and site survey professionals
- Minimal travel required
- Supportive team
The candidate:
- Experienced Data Network Engineer - Strong Routing and Switching skills needed
- Background in project work
- Strong understanding of MPLS IPVPN, IP Networking and Broadband Access technologies. Excellent working knowledge of IP, RIP, BGP, and OSPF. Experience in MPLS/BGP Design and implementation
- Telecommunications experience is a must
- Available to travel once every 2 weeks for a night
- Degree qualified
- Juniper background ideal as the company uses Juniper, however CISCO considered
- Cisco CCNP, Juniper JNCIA, JNCIS - preferred or equivalent work experience
