Our client is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join their operations team. The team is responsible for the architecture, strategy and design of Voice and Data networks for the company's extensive client base.
The role:
- The role is focused heavily on strategic network planning, design, architecture & product development
- There is also an element of customer solution design and implementation support
- Provide expert technical advice, sign-off and support for pre-sales technical engineers regarding highly complex customer solution designs.
- Develop documentation including network plans, strategies, roadmaps and reports to communicate and facilitate implementation of deliverables to stakeholders and business units as required
- develop test plans for the implementation of new equipment, systems and product infrastructure
- Own the cutover of new or existing network, minimising downtime for the customer
The candidate:
- 5 years' experience working as a Network Engineer in design and planning
- Cisco certifications - CCNA, CCIE
- Expert in Unified Communications as a Service, Hosted Telephony, SIP Trunking core network devices
- Strong understanding of MPLS IPVPN, IP Networking and Broadband Access technologies - Design and implementation
- Telecommunications experience preferred
- Previous ITIL environment experience would be ideal
- Cisco CCNP, Juniper JNCIA, JNCIS - preferred
