About the Role
As Network Architect you will be responsible for to provide Architectural & Design input to (and establish) a Security architecture and framework within a new proposed hosting environment that includes both private hosting and public cloud services. You will be involved in planning, analysis, design, review, consultation and recommendations for the successful delivery of the program schedule and scope
Responsibilities
- Work across IT, Data Centre and Application, Networks (i.e. Applications and Infrastructure services), both Physical and Logical, to be applied in a multi-cloud or hybrid environments of application hosting services, including On-Premise (Private) and Cloud (Public) services
- Complete architectural discovery, analysis, review, documentation and supply of information
- Source Information, Compile and Consult on current and future technical architecture(s) and design
- Review and Recommend on target/future end states
- Communicate and present to various stakeholders
- Review, Assessment and Validation of relevant governance and acceptance deliverables
- Support the Project Manager and Delivery team
- Provide regular status and reporting
Experience
- Previous background as a Network Architect, minimum 7 years' experience
- Demonstrated experience in Enterprise Networking, including Routing, Switching, Security, Firewalls as well as areas of application services and delivery controls including Load Balancing
- Experience in the design and practical application of relevant Network Solutions in data centre networks, including Cisco Nexus, as well as Network Automation and Application Centric network solutions including Cisco ACI technology and VMWare NSX
- Understanding of Cloud Services, network and security related
- Must have experience Micro segmentation, SDN (Software defined network), Layer 2 - 3 experiences with solid experience on Layer 4 -7 services
- Experience of Cisco products and understanding on integration of cisco to third party products
- Must have experience on building Hybrid Cloud with network integration with Public Cloud (AWS and Azure)
- Demonstrated experience in datacentre migration
- Experience in network monitoring and management solutions
- Experience of working in large Architecture and Design teams
- Ability to engage, collaborate, negotiate and communicate with stakeholders
