The MSSQL Database Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day management of the organisation's databases and ensures changes and queries are addressed in accordance with the needs of internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design database structures and associated models to support the information needs of the business
* Administer the database configuration, security, schema and objects, ensuring compliance against agreed standards and guidelines
* Perform monitoring and analysis, performance tuning, troubleshooting and escalating issues, including proactive problem resolution and complex problem analysis as necessary, to maintain performance to meet the business needs
* Assist with database software installations and upgrades to maintain currency with supported environments
* Provide Level II and /or Level III support to users and/or support team members to minimise user/system down time
Key Challenges:
* Balance workload between support, operational and project related activities
* Assist with database software installations and upgrades to maintain currency with supported environments
* Provide Level II and /or Level III support to users and/or support team members to minimise user/system down time
Essential Requirements:
* Minimum of 5 years of MSSQL DBA experience
* Industry certification in relevant technologies or equivalent industry experience.
* Demonstrated experience in SSAS, SSIS and SSRS
* Demonstrated experience in Powershell experience
* MySQL experience
