Our client is an iconic Australian Enterprise, they are currently seeking a Manager - Linux & IaaS to join on a permanent basis.
The Primary objective of the role is to provide professional technical expertise leading a high performing Linux engineering team and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) experts.
About the role
You would be involved in:
- Be responsible for leading a team, including operational support, across a large-scale system-critical setting.
- Bring large-scale enterprise experience in a highly virtualise environment.
- Have previous experience in maintaining and supporting enterprise-based computing infrastructure across a complex system-business critical landscape.
- Developed technology strategies to satisfy business and operational requirements.
- Be accountable for managing outsourced operations support, patching of the Linux servers, virtualisation platforms and IaaS cloud solutions.
To be successful for the role, you would ideally:
- Ability to manage competing project demands whilst ensuring operational stability of business-critical systems.
- Commercial experience in deployment, maintenance, support for all Linux virtualisation technology, IaaS Cloud systems and solutions.
- The ability to manage backup, storage, archive resources, and processes.
- Commercial experience in contract negotiation.
- Proficiency in vendor management; providing maintenance and support within the cloud and virtual server infrastructure, encompassing windows, virtualisation technologies and Linux.
- A detailed repertoire in planning and delivering Linux-based projects on a large-scale.
