About the Role
As Linux Server Systems Engineer you will be responsible for focussing on the development, automation and executing a repeatable regular patching regime, you will complete technical and process documentation and carry out operation work. You will work on a mixture of BAU and project driven work
Experience
- Experienced as an RHEL Administrator, certified administrator and with considerable industry experience (> 5 years)
- Must be experienced in medium to large scale deployments and operational management of RHEL 6.x and 7.x
- Experience with package management and adding resources, maintaining LVM, extensive troubleshooting
- Experience with VMWare 5.x, 6.x operation
- Considerable experience with RHEL Server security management and operations and patch automation using Enterprise patching tool
- Knowledge and experience with Satellite Server
- Experience on Automated System Management Ansible, Shell and Perl scripts
- Experience working independently when required as well as in a Team based environment
- Strong customer centric approach
Preferred Experience
- Knowledge of Window 2008, 2012, 2016
- Awareness of Web Stack, Database and Middleware technologies - MS IIS, MS SQL Server, PHP, Apache, experience with securing end-to-end application channels (e.g. OpenSSL, TLS/SSL and certificate management)
- Experience in working within an IT Service Management (ITSM) framework, preferably ServiceNow
NOTE - There is Parking Available on site in Western Sydney at a much reduced rate, but Public transport is available but is complex
