A federal Government client is looking for a Lead Architect.
The position will focus area for this role is to develop architectures for a particular Stream that is delivering the Agencies web sites & web applications including data made available via public & secure APIs
Responsibilities include:
- Working with internal stakeholders and external vendors, lead the Stream system integrator & quality assurance capability to produce Solution Architectures and Detail Design deliverables.
- Assist with the development of & provide quality assurance for:
- The end-state architecture for the Stream components of the program.
- The design of the streams platform transition, operational and recovery capabilities.
- The streams data and integration architecture being developed in conjunction with other streams.
- The secure, stable & resilient (highly available) streams infrastructure & technical platform & capabilities being developed in conjunction with other streams.
- Develop solution architecture in accordance with Architecture Principles, reference architectures and Security guidelines.
- Assist in estimating budgetary resources, schedules, and costs required for the solutions.
- Work with the broader program team to ensure the overall architecture is consistent with, and fully supports, the overall business and platform architectures for the program.
- Assist in developing design patterns.
Ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience;
- Ability to lead a small team of multi-disciplinary Architects.
- 10 years of Solution Architecture experience in the following domains: Infrastructure, Security, Data and Integration (including APIs)
- Demonstrable experience of successful Systems Integrator roles for a public cloud/on-prem integrated platform.
- Ability to build relationships with senior managers and staff and an ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical staff.
- Understanding of how to design services to meet security, stability & resilience requirements.
- Proficient in interpreting both functional & non-functional requirements in order to prepare architectures & designs to meet the business needs.
- Significant experience of Public Cloud & Content Delivery Network services & capabilities.
- Skill & knowledge to review technical vendor documentation.
- Solid understanding of clean-sourcing methods & secure coding techniques.
- Significant knowledge of web site & web application development methods & approaches.
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian Citizens who currently hold or are able to gain an Australian Government security clearance
