Our client is an industry-leading organization within the banking service is seeking an experienced IT/ Application Support Specialist to join on a permanent basis.
About the role:
We are looking for a high calibre individual who has operated as a Support Specialist. The successful candidate is expected to play a key role in managing support and development for Banking Applications.
Possession of a strong understanding of financial market systems is. We are looking for experienced and task focussed individuals who are open, strong communicators and enjoy working in high performance teams.
For this role, you will need strong experience in the following:
- Ability to develop, test and deploy high-quality code applications in Java 8+
- Provides application maintenance and after-hour support.
- Providing business/technical support in product releases and day-to-day enquiries / requests.
- On call support and uploading of code, enhanced by the developers.
- Testing all the codes uploaded on the data centres.
- Twice a year support when the system is down.
- Deployment of code (three times in a year)
Technical and Industry Expertise:
- Strong support experience within financial services.
- High attention to detail
- Experience in providing application support
- Development experience using Core Java, Spring core, Hibernate.
- Experience with relational database and WebSphere
- Waterfall and Agile methodology.
