Role
The function of role is to represent the organization in a Data Centre migration process. They need to ensure their interests are represented and that there is minimal business interruption. In this role you will need strong Vendor relationship skills to deal with the outsource provider and other telco organisations
In addition to the data centre relocation the senior project manager will be an active member of the infrastructure project team by providing guidance on new initiatives. The Senior Project Manager might be responsible for direct delivery or via a project Co-ordinator of these new initiatives.
Key Responsibility Areas- Deliver major and minor projects to scope, budget and time
- Provide review and input to new infrastructure initiatives
- Report to steering committee audiences
- Manage multiple 3rd party vendors across geographical locations
- Manage key stakeholder expectations across IT and Business
Skills
- Degree Qualification (essential)
- Prince2 or PMI equivalent qualifications (essential)
- Experience of Senior Project Manager (+4 years) (essential)
- Experience of end to end project lifecycle (+5 years) (essential)
- Knowledge of change and risk management (highly desirable)
- Experience with Data Centre migrations or transformations (essential)
- Experience managing vendors (essential)
- Cloud (desirable)
- Experience with Financial Management of projects (essential)
- Experience with managing project co-ordinators (essential)
- Microsoft certifications (desirable only)
