About the Role
As Information Security Specialist you will be responsible for managing the monitoring, detection and response of security incidents as well as being involved in the building of the incident response capability
Responsibilities
- Manage security incidents to resolution
- Detection and response, threat hunting and detection
- Perform analysis on collected security event data
- Perform impact threat assessments
- Develop Information Security Processes and Internal Controls
- Develop reports on security incidents and remediation activities
- Advise on changes in security technology
Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Information Security
- Experienced as a Security Specialist or Security Consultant or similar role
- Experienced in the Splunk toolset
- Experience in a large enterprise environments (government, finance, insurance industry etc)
- In-depth knowledge of security concepts such as cyber-attacks and techniques, threat vectors, risk management, incident management etc.
- Experienced in Incident response where you have built the capability, not just worked in a SOC
- Must handle pressure situations during a crisis
- Communications skills are a must
- SIEM and SPLUNK technologies
- Current security certification is desirable (eg. CISM, CISSP, GIAC, CEH etc)
