Our client is a major competitor in the financial and investment industry located in Sydney! You will be managing BAU support and enhancement, sprint content and coordination through a 9-month initial contract with an optional contract extension. The IT Release/Change Manager will be an integral part of upcoming releases for all investment applications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage BAU Support and enhancement backlog prioritization and developer allocation in coordination with IT Project coordinators
  • Review BAU development backlog and ensure stakeholder priorities are moving through the workflow as scoped.
  • Liaise with IT project coordinator to include Project related development in upcoming sprints.
  • Track status of all change requests and release implementations
  • Mediate all conflicts regarding scheduling, lack of approval or lack of documentation prior to implementation of the change
  • Present and support sprints releases in Change Advisory Board meetings (CAB)
  • Manage Expediated / Emergency Changes as and when required
  • Manage JIRA tickets updating and Sprint closures
  • Lead and facilitate development workshops that will help in ensuring consistent approach to change
  • Lead and facilitate Sprint review stand ups
  • Review and update existing processes and policies and create new ones as needed.
  • Collaborating with other IT teams to ensure smooth incident free Sprint deployments

Skills Required:

  • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • DEVOPS principles and practices
  • Strong presentation, positive attitude & excellent communication skills
  • ServiceNow or Jira

This role requires years of experience in the following fields:

  • Leading workshops
  • Agile transformation/transition
  • Release management software and tools in relation to ServiceNow or Jira
  • Chair meetings and interacting with stakeholders, IT project coordinators and developers

Candidates with strong experience within the investment & financial industry will be highly desirable
