About the role

We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager who have worked on or managed cyber security programmes or projects that required large scale people, process, or technological change to achieve new capabilities.

Liaison, consultation, and collaboration with stakeholders, service providers, and vendors are all part of the main responsibilities.
As an IT Project Manager, you will play a critical leadership role in our cyber security change agenda, managing a team in charge of implementing targeted cyber security solutions.

This will be a long-term contract, initial 12 motnhs, with hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities

* Leading a large team responsible for the implementation of targeted cyber security measures.
* Delivering project solutions on schedule, under budget, and to high quality standards.
* Work with internal and external parties to offer or receive information and negotiate relevant conclusions on complicated and sensitive problems.
* Evaluate project outcomes, as well as the larger ramifications and implications of IT-project activities, and escalate issues beyond delegation.

* Build and sustain mutually beneficial relationships, consult and share information with own team, build the skills of staff through knowledge transfer and maximise team strengths to achieve project and business outcomes

Skills and experience

  • A baseline security clearance is necessary
  • Minimum of 7 years experience as Project Manager in similar projects.
  • Worked on Cyber Security projects and managed programmes in multi-IT vendor settings.
  • Demonstrated expeirence in leading a large IT project team.
  • Knowledge of the Australian Cyber Security Centre's (ACSC) Information Security Manual (ISM), notably the Essential 8 Mitigation Strategies.
  • A proven track record of completing projects on schedule, under budget, and to high quality standards.
  • Ability to negotiate agreements with internal and external parties.
