Our CBD based client is looking for a suitably qualified IT Manager for an initial 12 month contract.

The role:

You will be managing the IT unit's daily operations as well as a period of significant change, including, the implementation of new systems, communicating with stakeholders and contributing to a three to five-year IT roadmap.

Duties:

  • Manage the development and delivery of ICT services for achieve organisational and strategic objectives.
  • Provide leadership, management and supervision of the IT unit to provide effective and efficient delivery of quality and secure ICT services and infrastructure that meet customer expectations.
  • Promote and foster a customer focused culture within the IT unit
  • Manage the overall functions of the IT unit, including service desk, technical support, applications support, security and operational management, measuring performance and proactively managing issues.
  • Manage and develop the operational teams within the unit.
  • Participate in the development of ICT strategies to enhance organisational capability.
  • Maintain and develop business plans, budgets and reporting systems.
  • Provide regular and accurate management reporting on ICT systems and service performance.
  • Negotiate contracts and service agreements and manage service and product delivery.

 

Essential

  • Demonstrated experience in providing leadership and coordination in the delivery and support of customer focused ICT consistent with ICT best practice.

 

  • Demonstrated ability to manage people effectively and provide team leadership that promotes a client focussed culture.

 

  • Demonstrated experience in successfully managing relationships with stakeholders, including the ability to negotiate and communicate effectively across a range of contexts.

 

  • Demonstrated analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills, with the ability to provide innovative solutions to complex problems.

 

  • Well-developed understanding of contemporary information technology and communications practices and approaches to delivering services in a complex operational environment.

 

  • Demonstrated experience in the application of industry standards and best practices.

 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of current cyber security threats and mitigations.

 

  • Demonstrated ability to establish IT Plans and project management skills.

 

Highly Desirable

  • Tertiary qualification in information systems, information technology or other related discipline.

 

  • Recognised IT Professional qualification.
