About the role

The purpose of the IT Business Services Manager is to lead the delivery of IT services and coordinate IT support and project implementation functions across the service desk, applications, infrastructure, business intelligence, and security areas.

You will work closely with business leaders and IT teams to define, develop and deploy IT Systems and Applications strategies to achieve business goals, based on agreed priorities. Ensure that the IT Infrastructure and user management supports are secure and support our operational requirements.


Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise and motivate a team within a culture of support, value and continuous improvement
  • Provide high-level advice and guidance to management and peers
  • Work closely with Executive and program resources to support and champion the implementation of new technology
  • Responsible for establishing processes and actions that ensure that the applications and systems are stable and secure, and that the delivery of IT services and problem-solving is customer-centric, professional, and timely.
  • Collaborate with the internal communications team to ensure the effective communication of any application and systems changes to end users and stakeholders
  • Lead and manage incidents through to resolution and ensure incident events are fully documented and prepare all Post Incident Reports
  • Manage the application and systems roadmap, defining priorities and liaising with key stakeholders.
  • Oversee the data management to improve system data quality, implementing rules and automation as needed.
  • Responsible for asset management of all IT hardware and software
  • Responsible for IT strategic direction and management of IT budgets


Skills and experience

  • Relevant Information Technology qualifications
  • Minimum proven/demonstrated (5 years' experience)
  • Proven leadership experience in managing teams
  • Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the common policy and procedural requirements for the effective operation of an IT support function including:
    • Incident Management
    • Problem Management
    • Asset Management
    • IT Change Management
  • ITIL Intermediate Certification or above (desirable)
  • Demonstrated problem solving experience
  • Project Management qualification or experience
  • Demonstrated sound interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills as well as a commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • Demonstrated experience applying procedures and processes and suggesting quality improvements where and when appropriate
  • Current Driver's Licence and willingness to drive in the course of work
  • Have or willingness to obtain relevant clearances or probity checks required by legislation or company policy prior to commencement.
  • Proof of Vaccination Status as required by Legislation, Health Directives or company policy throughout employment and prior to commencement.
