Our Federal Government Client is seeking an ICT Systems Engineer to manage the efficient and effective use of technology and to enable their staff through the provision and support of end user devices. You will infrastructure relocation projects and will provide data storage infrastructure and manage its availability and capacity to meet business demands.
This is a long-term contract up to 30 June 2022 with two x 9-month extension option periods, located at our Client's Canberra location.
As the selected candidate, you will:
- Provide technical advice and assistance to support the agency's migration to M365
- Provide expert technical advice and assistance in relation to the following:
- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, AppLocker
- Microsoft Exchange 2016
- Windows Server 2019
- VMware vCenter, vSphere, and Horizon
- Storage and Backup
- IIS, SQL and Oracle Database BAU tasks
- Ensure firmware, operating systems and applications are patched, including critical updates within 48-hours
- Perform troubleshooting tasks and resolve complex ICT problems and incidents
- Prepare and review documentation, standard operating procedures and practices for the functions performed within the team, and implement work plans for achieving the team's objectives
To be successful in this role you should have:
- Windows Server Environment
- VMWare administration, including vCenter, vSphere and Horizon
- Active Directory
It is desirable if you have:
- Microsoft Exchange 2016
- Storage (Hitachi, Netapp) and Backup (Commvault)
- IIS, SQL, Oracle Database BAU Tasks
- Scripting knowledge - PowerShell, VBS and Windows Batch
- Knowledge and experience of ITIL
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology
