Our client is seeking an ICT Sourcing Specialist / Procurement Specialist for the delivery of procurement services for the annual ICT Program of Work. This is a 12 month contract based in Brisbane CBD.


  • Preparing procurement plans and procurement strategies for project requirements
  • Provide advice on best sourcing approaches
  • Provide procurement RFx templates (e.g. conditions of tender; specification; draft contract; evaluation plan) to key stakeholders
  • Develop and/or review specifications ensuring appropriateness for quality sourcing and contacting
  • Prepare contracts using corporate templates
  • Prepare evaluation strategies and plans
  • Assist with the evaluation and presentation of evaluation summaries to key stakeholders and make recommendations to Procurement delegates
  • Provide advice on contract non-compliances resolution during the evaluation process and liaise with the Strategic Procurement Office and Brisbane City Legal Practice as required
  • Provide negotiation advice during sourcing processes
  • Lead and assist with negotiations during sourcing processes
  • Provide advice and support for completion of Post Market Submissions to finalise procurement processes
  • Facilitate contract executions by appropriate delegates
  • Facilitate update of the corporate contract register as required
  • Assist with performing contract administration tasks during the project lifecycle
  • Maintain a detailed documentary record of procurement processes and decisions ensuring the audit trail is adequately maintained and documented for probity, accountability and audit purposes.
  • Correspondence development and handling for sourcing processes

The skills:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in ICT procurement, specifically sourcing
  • Experience in contract drafting and administration using the Queensland QITC framework
  • Experience working in ICT projects and service delivery environments
  • Experience drafting QITC contracts for project related ICT goods and services contracts
  • Proven ability to plan and execute multiple RFx processes through to contract award efficiently and in accordance with organisational policies, procedures and processes
  • Well-developed communication skills and proven ability to influence, consult and negotiate with a range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes
  • Strong attention to detail coupled with the ability to provide accurate information and quality work
  • Demonstrated effective organisational skills, capable of prioritising competing demands to meet agreed service standards including the ability to deliver project outcomes to scope, time and quality


  • Demonstrated experience in contract administration in a large complex ICT function within a large commercial organisation or Government / Local Government environment;
