Our client is seeking a ICT Sourcing Specialist to work directly on the annual ICT Program of Work sourcing requirements. You will be consistently applying procurement standards set by the Strategic Procurement Office in a manner that ensures effective and efficient processes whilst maintaining strong governance and probity.
Primary Skills of the role include:
The role holder will have:
- Experience working in local or state government procurement, combined with a general knowledge of ICT products and services and related supply arrangements;
- Proven ability to plan and execute multiple RFQ processes through to contract award efficiently and in accordance with organisational policies, procedures and processes;
- Proven written communication skills to produce quality reports and procurement documentation;
- Well developed interpersonal skills in order to influence, negotiate, build positive working relationships in order to resolve business issues, and manage confidential and sensitive matters.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to the successful negotiation, formation and management of contracts and supplier agreements that meet organisational targets.
- Strong attention to detail coupled with the ability to provide accurate information and quality work;
- Ability to contribute to team direction, give and receive feedback and achieve agreed performance standards in order to contribute to a culture of performance excellence.
Desirable:
- Demonstrated experience in sourcing in a large complex ICT function within a large commercial organisation or Government / Local Government environment;
- Completed a Degree in an ICT, Business or Commerce related area or have equivalent working experience;
- Demonstrated experience and/or understanding of procurement an ICT environment;
- Basic understanding of contract law, including exposure to procurement contracts with an ability to balance price/quality/time/relationship trade-offs with suppliers.
