Our Federal Government Client is seeking an ICT Project Manager.

This is a long-term contract for 12 months with 2x12-month extension option, located at our Client's Canberra location.

As the selected candidate, you will:

  • Lead and manage one or more ICT projects that contributes to the ACIC's strategic outcomes and objectives, in accordance with corporate standards for project management and ensure projects integrate with the ACIC's business.
  • Develop and maintain an accurate project schedule and deliver products according to the schedule.
  • Develop and maintain the project budget, and track costs and expenditure to deliver the project within tolerances.
  • Manage scope, quality, risk and issue management processes to ensure outcomes are delivered.
  • Formally attend project and program board meetings, prepare reports, advice and recommendations for presentation at more senior governance forums as required.
  • Apply a comprehensive knowledge of principles, practices and theories as they relate to effective project management, with particular regard to PRINCE2 methodologies, together with the ability to apply these within ACIC.
  • Manage procurement and contracts for one or more vendors and manage complex issues.
  • Document and manage the start-up, initiation, delivery and closure of projects in accordance with corporate project management standards, which are based upon PRINCE2.
  • Develop and/or update Business Cases for large and complex ICT projects.
  • Undertake change and benefits management.
  • Identify, acquire and manage project staff and provide effective direction and leadership to the project team.
  • Engage with an extensive array of stakeholders on any given project. The role is required to initiate, establish and maintain strong relationships with:
    • Internal stakeholders to ensure access to resources and alignment with other interrelated projects.
    • External stakeholder and business partners to ensure current and emerging needs are addressed.

Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian who have the ability to obtain a Baseline Federal Government Security Clearance.
