Our client is looking for a Hosting Operations Engineer for an initial 6-month contract. This role will be day to day support managing the IT infrastructure in the Perth CBD.
Responsibilities:
- Manage critical data centre infrastructure through pro-active monitoring and event management
- Critical incident resolution, driving incidents to closure
- Troubleshoot and solve complex technology problems to restore production system availability
- Manage and execute infrastructure BCP and DR processes when required
- Review root cause of incidents and ensure continuous improvement
- Apply risk controls to identify potential threats and minimize or remove service impacts
- Maintain and analyse metrics to identify trends, capacity forecasting and planning inputs
Skills:
- Experience providing data centre operations services
- VMware (HyperV)
- Windows Server operations (Windows Server 2012)
- At least one of the following:
- Storage technologies (EMC - Data Domain, VNX, Isilon)
- Compute technologies (CI/HCI platforms - EMC VxBlock, VxRail, Cisco UCS)
- IT Service management processes and tools (ServiceNow)
- Citrix/Virtual desktops
Desirable:
- Unix/Linux
- Microsoft SCCM, SCOM
- Microsoft HyperV
- IP Networking
- SolarWinds
