About the role
This is a leadership role acting as the single point of contact for all technical related matters associated with the delivery of a large prgram of work involving new site builds.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the deployment meets the required design standards and guidelines
- Work with all domains to ensure program delivery is on time to budget and quality objectives are met within the extent of the roles control
- Work with and manage subcontractors currently undertaking design, construction and operational acceptance activities and assure the delivered network meets the stated and agreed agency requirement
- Be the technical solution interface to the PMO and other technology teams
Skills and experience
- Advanced people management skills and experience
- Advanced stakeholder engagement and collaboration experience
- Advanced program management and delivery experience on large scale rollouts
- Understanding of financial/technical/operational impacts and trade offs for major program delivery
- Extensive experience working with subcontractors and managing and directing third parties
- Ability to develop innovative design option to address complex technical, financial, process, engagement, procurement and other issues as they arise
- Excellent written, presentation and negotiation skills
- Detailed end to end knowledge of wireless networks
- Extensive experience with technical program delivery and wireless network deployment
- Sound understanding of network RF coverage analysis, traffic and reliability modelling, antennas, IP/MPLS and transmission network technologies
