Our IT Consulting Client is seeking an Infrastructure / Network Generalist with experience in Extreme Networks and VMware. Some server and general networking skills will also be considered.
You have the option to choose between a permanent, full-time type of employment or a long-term contract. This is located at our Client's Canberra location.
As the selected candidate, you will be:
- Performing datacentre work e.g. a switch stack replacement
- Maintaining existing switch structure on the extreme platform. It is outdated equipment.
- Maintaining legacy infrastructure while they are transitioning.
- Attending weekly meetings (monolog from managers)
- Conducting Vulnerability management on the Nutanix platform / updates
- Patching VMware
To be successful in this role you should have:
- Extreme
- Cisco (above entry level. Anyone with a CCNA. generalist)
- Palo Alto (firewalls)
- VMware (generalist)
- SRM
- Azure
- Nutanix (simple low level)
- Change Management
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens who have existing Federal Government Security Clearances.
