Our Client:
Our client has established a dominant presence within the Banking and Financial Services industry, they are currently seeking an experienced Financial Support analyst to support the financial platform within their Technology and Operations portfolio. In this role, you would be responsible for the development and support of the core Investment and Finance applications in SQL Server, Python/Spark.
About the role
You would be involved in:
- Provide first line application/systems support for the Data analytics platform.
- Ensure systems up time meets set SLA's.
- Ensuring our data, reporting and analytics platform are efficiently managed, including upgrades, patching, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Maintain the integrity, completeness, and accuracy of data on a timely basis. Monitoring data pipelines ensuring it operate within acceptable limits, and continuously improving the efficiency, quality, and transparency.
To be successful for the role, you would ideally:
- Strong database support and experience in SQL Server 2016
- Proven experience working with Financial/General Ledgers systems
- Development experience using Python or Spark
- Experience in the use of SQL to run database queries.
- Understanding of the pre trade life cycle and detailed knowledge of pre trade FX / Rates trading activities.
- Proven dealings with senior management and vendors
- Development experience using Rest APIs
