Our Client:
Our client has a large presence within the Public Sector, they are currently seeking a FinOps Reporting Analyst to join their team for an initial 6-month contract.
The primary focus of this role is to develop an operational framework (that considers process & procedure, system, people, and controls) that integrates technology, finance, and business to drive.
Responsibilities:
- In-depth understanding of current infrastructure spending within the multi-cloud environment
- Financial accountability - including Billing/Invoice/Cost Chargeback / Showback management, cost optimisation (rightsizing, decommissioning of under-utilised/used resources, savings plans etc)
- Work with various client stakeholders (cloud engineering/operations teams, cloud user groups) to embed cloud financial/cost management (FinOps) practices into their day-to-day operations, therefore helping to accelerate client outcomes (i.e. cloud cost reduction/optimisation).
- Support commercial negotiations with public cloud providers to improve rate optimisation (through various discount programs and incentive schemes).
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with cost management across Cloud Service Providers
- Experience in Cloud Service Providers - AWS, Azure, GCP
- Experience in cloud/cloud transformations and Infrastructure cost management
