Directory Services Product Lead
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive the Directory Services Strategy for the organisation, driving increased stability and simplification of the core platform, while unlocking new security and operational capabilities for the organisation.
- Manage technology obsolescence pertaining to the Directory Services Products at play i.e. bring in latest technologies to the organisation that add value and retire the one that have reached EOSL
- Assist in the creation & maintenance of Directory Services documentation which includes a services catalog, service descriptions, design/solution documents and maintenance of a risk register
- Ability to autonomously investigate and analyse the environment and to discover aspects of the Directory Services product. To subsequently produce relevant documentation regarding the product from investigations/analysis performed
- Assist in the creation & maintenance of the Directory Services Roadmap based on the current & future state in accordance with the Organisational and Product Roadmaps
- Ensure that every Directory Services product goes through a complete PDLC & highlights of each stage are documented
- Ensure that any defects in the Directory Services Product that has entered into production are dealt with on priority and taken through to a permanent resolution
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications:
- Preferred - Diploma/Bachelors/Masters in Information Technology/Computer Science
Experience:
- 8 Years plus experience in the IT industry as a whole especially in technology lead roles
- 5 Years plus experience as a Microsoft and/or Linux Systems Administrator
- Experience with Identity Management and SSO technologies, preferably Sailpoint Identity Platform & AzureAD or similar technologies (Okta/Ping/NetIQ/Auth0)
- Understands Zero Trust, and is comfortable building directory and identity strategies to drive identity based security controls
- Experience integrating step up authentication and privileged access management technologies
- Significant experience in designing/maintaining at least one Directory Services Platforms (Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP) and exposure to the other
SKILLS
- Operating Systems: Five years plus experience of senior administration and design/implementation of Microsoft Windows and at least one Linux Distribution (Red Hat, CentOS, Fedora, Ubuntu, Debian, SUSE, etc), including foundation services such as DNS, DHCP, NTP, etc.
- Directory Services: Experience planning, designing, implementing and maintaining Directory Services platforms (AD Forests, Domains, Trusts, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and Organizational Units, AD authentication protocols and integration)
