Job Description

Our Client is seeking an experienced Digital Services Release Manager for an initial contract role until 30 June 2020 with possible extension options, working at our clients offices in Canberra's north.

The work will be interesting, varied and rewarding and contribute to enhancing the department's ability to building the evidence base through better data. It will also provide the successful applicant with exposure to high-level meetings and forums within and external to the department.

Within this role you will be responsible for:

  • Managing releases for multiple projects and allocation of environments to teams as required;
  • Providing ongoing support for environments including tracking releases, upgrades and changes to the environments as per the requests;
  • Logging, coordinating and resolving defects related to environments to provide the stable environments;
  • Monitoring the progress of the delivery streams against their respective milestones and escalating where delays are likely to impact the release;
  • Ensuring that the delivery streams are raising and managing risks, issues, decisions, assumptions and change requests that impact the release;
  • Facilitating the mitigation of risks, resolution of issues and confirmation of decisions that impact multiple delivery streams for the release;
  • Monitoring the progress of the delivery streams against their respective milestones and escalating where delays are likely to impact the release;

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Proven experience as a Release Manager within a digital service delivery context.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities in parallel;
  • Ability to simplify activities and prioritise focus on critical tasks;
  • Ability to effectively distil information for reporting and tracking;
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills;
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering high profile projects;
  • Excellent time management, organisation and MS Office skills;
  • A team player with influencing ability;
  • Love to work with a diverse team to deliver services to citizens;
  • Solid working experience of managing Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) based fast project release cycle;
  • Experience with Salesforce and Mulesoft Platform is desirable and;
  • Experience working in digital service delivery in government highly regarded.
