About the role

Our client is a leading organization in the transport sector. They are looking for a Digital Project Manager, who will come aboard to develop and implement new digital applications to replace the current website and mobile applications and relevant back-end systems and interfaces.

This is a 6-month role.

You would be involved in:

  • Successful delivery of complex business systems and technology projects with a focus on client management of a portfolio of projects to agreed scope, time, quality and budget and ensuring project outcomes achieve safety, operational and commercial objectives.
  • Timely development of commercial arrangements with delivery partners and project stakeholders that maximise value for money, and lead to the successful delivery of
  • Accurate and deliverable project scopes and cost estimates provide value for money and best fit for customer
  • High quality project governance for high value complex procurement and operating within a whole of project life cycle process with appropriate stage gates and peer reviews that deliver the highest quality transport projects.
  • Communication and engagement with internal and external stakeholders provide support for project outcomes
  • Delivery experience in complex digital environment, high value stakeholder business and systems projects.
  • Providing project related technical and commercial advise to senior management.

To be successful for the role, you would ideally have:

  • Thorough understanding of Project Management, Governance principles, contractual arrangements and the role of key stakeholders, Franchisees and other government agencies.
  • Tertiary qualification, or proven extensive experience, in engineering, project management, planning or related discipline
  • Experience in managing business and technology systems projects in the Transport domain
  • Demonstrated expert ability to manage high value, complex multi-stakeholder projects from design conception to conclusion of project
  • Ability to lead commercial and technical negotiations with delivery partners, suppliers, franchisees and other stakeholders.
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship management skills including the ability to negotiate and influence decisions at senior management level both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills including presentations, preparation of project scopes, reports, briefs and correspondence on complex issues associated with delivery of projects.
  • High level of understanding in the management of technical interfaces
