Our prestigious Federal Government Client is seeking the expertise of a DevOps Automation Deployment Specialist for a long-term contract role. This is an initial 12-month engagement, with lengthy extension options and is working from our Client's offices in the Parliamentary Triangle.
Due to the nature of this role, candidates must be Australian Citizens who currently hold or are able to obtain an AGSVA NV2 clearance to apply.
Within this role you will be working to deliver and maintain a range of business-critical applications, while driving automation and deployment activities.
In addition, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and building reusable frameworks to effectively deliver deployment activities
- Identifying and replicating engineering automation best practices
- Speeding up application release cycles and improving business and operational agility
- Reducing errors and achieving higher quality releases by simplifying and standardising application prelease processes using automation solutions in and Agile setting
To be successful in this role you will have proven experience in:
- Working as a DevOps Engineer (minimum of 2 years demonstrable experience)
- Container security, deployment, orchestration and management technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher and Jenkins
- Developing and building reusable frameworks to effectively deliver deployment activities
- Engaging stakeholders to transform business and technical requirements into implementation plans
- Defining DevOps and quality guidelines and standards and coaching other team members
- Planning, prioritising and managing workloads in an Agile development environment
