Our client is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join their automation team. The team is responsible for the build and delivery of high quality front / back end applications whist advocating an Agile, DevOps, continuous integration and delivery model within their environment
About the Role:
- To work in a team with a feature team lead, product owner, developer and testers to drive the development of microservices through the website in a cloud environment
- Design, Develop, Deploy and improve specific technologies and their interaction with processes and systems to deliver products and services to customer business units
- Achieve a well-defined, functioning and repeatable set of key business, program management and technology processes to ensure consistent quality is maintained
- Perform application performance, load analysis and assist in capacity planning as required to support the solution
- Managing production support and maintenance for applications in the production and pre-production environments keeping in a Devops model
- Pre-Launch Advocacy - validating the requirements against system dependencies to ensure the new requirements do not have a negative impact on the customer advocacy
- Review and integrate all applications
- Technology Assessments and Estimation of new features
What we are looking for (closest fit to the below):
- Senior Automation Engineer experience / DevOps (commercial experience in)
- Agile experience / or other project methodology exp
- Continuous integration: Bamboo, Git, SVN, Stash, Jira, Confluence, Eclipse, Docker, Kubernetes, ELK stack, Splunk, test automation, feature branching
- Strong experience in software development environments for high availability - J2EE platform, SPA development, API development on Linux/Solaris.
- Back-end: REST, JAX-WS, JSON, Java, Node.js, SOAP, XML, XSLT, apigee, BPNM, Camunda, Hystrix, Spring Boot, Rabbit MQ, Spring, JDBC, JPA, Hibernate, SQL
- Front-end: angular.js, node.js, jQuery. JavaScript HTML5, CSS3, CSS pre-processors: Less/Sass, Grunt, Bootstrap, Servlets, Spring MVC, Adobe Experience Manager CQ5 v5.6 and v6.1
