Our clients SaaS platform in transforming the mortgage industry, digitising end-to-end mortgage application and approval process between lenders and brokers. Where this has been a complex and manual requiring rework and lengthy back-and-forth information gathering (if you have applied for a mortgage, you will likely understand), has now been turned into an automated process where mortgage product requirements for applications are updated in real-time and applicant details are auto filled through data feeds, reducing the mortgage application process to minutes for all involved parties.
Their technical environment is complex, integrating into ever increasing live systems across the banking and finance industry. As a result, they need a skilled DevOps engineer who will be responsible for supporting both the production operation of the systems and the in-house development team throughout the testing and deployment lifecycle. This role will have a strong focus on the company's CI/CD platform and will be expected to continuously maintain and improve it. This role will be reporting to and working closely with the Head of Cloud Services who is focussed on overall systems architecture.
We want a DevOps engineer from a development background, as opposed to a systems background. It doesn't matter what you have coded in, as long as you love coding, have a strong understanding of technology/software fundamentals and are able to communicate well. The role will focus mainly on PowerShell with tech including:
- Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment (MS Build and Jenkins)
- Infrastructure As Code (Terraform)
- Programming and scripting skills (PowerShell, C# and bash), the .NET stack
- Windows Server (x86 and x64),
- Cloud - AWS e.g. RDS, Lambda, EC2, Route 53, VPC, S3, RDS and CloudFront…
- Source control (Git)
- Systems monitoring (CloudWatch and New Relic).
