Our client is seeking an experienced DevOps engineer to join their software delivery tools team. The team is responsible for providing CI/CD tools and support to the various software delivery teams in the business.
About the Role:
- The Senior Automation Engineers will be involved in exciting Greenfield projects and the improvement of existing systems
- Software Delivery Tools team, providing the Collaboration and CI/CD tools (and supporting infrastructure) used by Business and Application development teams across the business
- Managing / enhancing our Infrastructure and automation code, Level 4 engineering support for the tools stack, implementing new features. Working with our local engineering team and offshore user support team.
- Glue between code and systems
- Work with a variety of technologies built mostly on open source: build systems, deployment pipelines, application containers and the elastic infrastructure that those technologies run on
- The team is made up of engineers from a systems background who embrace the infrastructure as a code paradigm
What we are looking for (closest fit to the below):
- Senior Automation Engineer experience
- Agile experience, large scale projects, digital platform exposure
- Most important technical skills are: Ansible, Docker, Linux
- Continuous integration: Bamboo, Stash
- Configuration Management
- Linux (RHEL) / centOS, shell scripting & Ruby / Python)
- Virtualisation: VMware
- Java Application server: Tomcat, JBoss
- Load balancing F5, HAProxy
- Infrastructure services: DNS, DHCP, LDAP
- You will be successful in this role if you have a passion to automate all the things, an interest in Atlassian tool stack and open source technologies
