About the role

The Delivery Lead will provide leadership to a delivery team that designs, develops, and supports a collection of technical services. This includes managing suppliers and partners for the delivery of application software solutions, as well as directing a team for various transformation efforts that may include permanent staff, additional contractors, and professional services workers.

The Lead will also ensure that the programme will meet management times, budget and services within the release deadlines,
The role will report to the Delivery Manager and Head of technology of the organuzation.


Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop team members by sharing and demonstrating best practises in coaching, mentoring, performance management, and development planning, as well as delivering prioritised business results.
  • Manage team activity prioritisation and scope in order to meet project targets and/or SLAs. * Establish successful working relationships with management, internal personnel, and third parties as needed.
  • Actively apply agile principles to improve long-term delivery cycles.
  • Ensures that the programme will meet lead times, that services required are available within the release deadlines, and that all personnel are available to make the change and offer warranty support,
  • Plan and coordinate changes through the Test and Production environments, ensuring that change, release, and configuration management and packaging principles are strictly followed.
  • Ensure that change, release, and configuration management activities are fully planned and communicated in the early stages of the release.
  • Run daily stand-ups and manage the Scrum/Kanban boards as needed.
  • Assessing business requests, system requirements, and specifications in order to generate realistic delivery estimates.
  • Compliance with quality standards such as architectural frameworks, design standards, coding standards, software configuration management methods, testing standards, auditability, and operational acceptance.


Skills and Experience

  • People Management expert
  • Over 7 years of technology experience
  • Over 3 years of leading development and/or support teams
  • Experience in managing technologies, associated risks, and working in partnership with consultants
  • Experience in resource allocation, managing priorities, and managing different skills within a team detailed understanding of all stages of SDLC and the ITIL framework
  • Strong experience in Agile and Waterfall delivery
  • Scrum Master methodology
