Our client is a reputable brand within the finance sector. They seek a Data & Reporting Engineer to join their team for optimisind data flow and reporting on a full-time permanent basis. The Data & Reporting Engineer will report into the team lead and work collaboratively with design leads and developers.
The Data & Reporting Engineer will be responsible for:
- Eliciting and defining user requirements to translate them into functional requirements
- Effective use of data and process modelling tools to analyse and represent information
- Translating business requirements into meaningful reporting solutions
- Assess existing processes to identify redesign or enhancement opportunities
- Deliver improved productivity or efficiency to the business
- Pulling data from multiple sources, manipulating and modelling the data for appropriate reporting tools
The ideal candidate will have:
- Prior experience as a data & reporting engineer in an enterprise environment
- Depth of knowledge and experience with data modelling, ETL and data integration (Informatica)
- Advanced Power BI skills, ability to build tabular cubes, utilise DAX, and can train others in this skill
- Experience working on infrastructure within cloud technologies (AWS) and data lakes
- Understanding of banking and finance is desirable
- Strong stakeholder management skills, ability to dive deep, create clarity of needs and develop effective solutions
- PL/SQL, Python, Jenkins also desirable
