Our client is a well-known Australian enterprise based in Melbourne's east. They seek to add a data scientist engineer to their advanced analytics team for an initial 3-month contract.
The Advanced Analytics group plays a key part in achieving data-driven automation and decision making through the application of statistics, machine learning, predictive modelling and algorithms optimisation.
The Role:
As a data scientist engineer, you will be responsible for building, optimising, and managing big data within the cloud infrastructure (Azure).
- Eliciting and defining user requirements to translate them into functional requirements
- API development for machine learning models
- Develop and maintain preventative protections within cloud security
- Assess existing processes to identify redesign or enhancement opportunities
- Deliver improved productivity or efficiency to the business
- Deploy enterprise-level machine learning models to production
To be successful, you'll have:
- Professional demonstrated experience as a data engineer
- Deep expertise in one or more of the following:
- API development for machine learning models
- Cloud security
- Software engineering
- DevOps
- Demonstrated experience working in cloud infrastructure, Azure preferred
- Driven to problem solve and use technology as an enabler
- A team player who enjoys working in a collaborative environment
- Confidently presents messages in a clear, concise and articulate manner
